Rare INdiana Finds
Every picture tells a (Rare) story
The “Rare INdiana Finds” exhibit is on the move!
The exhibit, which features the 15 winning photographs from WIPB’s Instagram contest, will be on display March 20-April 30 at Cope Environmental Center, Centerville.
The exhibit opened in January at Kennedy Library in Muncie.
The “Rare INdiana Finds” Instagram Contest was part of the larger “Rare Indiana” project at WIPB. Funded by a grant from WGBH, and in conjunction with the PBS documentary RARE: CREATURES OF THE PHOTO ARK, “Rare INdiana” included nature walks, lots of great digital content at wipb.org and a 30-minute local program that focused on the rare, endangered and threatened species right here in our state.
More than 90 entries were submitted for the Rare INdiana Finds Instagram Photo Contest. The artists responsible for the 15 images chosen for the exhibit are: Pamela J. Barger, Lisa Benjamin, Kelly Denny, Kelly Douramacos, Marilyn Kaicy, Sarah Laros, Joyce Miller, Scott Neal, Vicki Vardaman, Stephen Weddle, Sarah Weiss and Brandon Wysong.
This second exhibit is made possible with help from Gordy Fine Art & Framing Co., Jack’s Camera Shop and Cope Environmental Center.
