| "In
an effort to control weeds without pesticides or herbicides I will try
to post a “Featured Weed ” info sheet and recipe as often
as I can. PLUS – it’s
just fun to peruse the lawn – and gardens – for edibles . They
are free, and often full of more good nutrients than standard fare.
First, a word or two of caution: If you are using pesticides or herbicides on your lawn, it might be better to fetch your ‘weeds’ from areas that are not sprayed. [For future ‘grazing’ consider eliminating pesticides] I live near some traffic [not heavy] so I spritz with white vinegar and then rinse! If any of the plants need to have their toxicity removed in order to be edible, I will tell you. If no mention of that just go ahead and use them as is." -Serrin |
