What is Get Outside – Play?
Get Outside – Play! is a ten week program and part of our Get Outside Challenge geared towards getting children under twelve outdoors to play! From January 14, 2019 to March 25, 2018, kids can track the number of hours they spend playing outside and win prizes along the way. Outdoor play can be anything! Climbing a tree, playing at recess, walking the dog, building a snowman, making snow angels, sledding, and more, as long as you are outside! Participants will be given a log sheet to track their time spent playing outside. These sheets will be available at Cope Environmental Center, and to print from this website starting January 14, 2019. For every benchmark a kid reaches (listed below), they earn a special prize redeemable at Cope Environmental Center!
Prizes are limited and awarded on a first come, first serve basis as an incentive to get you working towards those goals fast!
Log up to 70 hours of outdoor play by March 25, 2019 to win prizes!
10 hours – One free activity/game pass (example: bowling, putt-putt)
20 hours – One free ice cream come!
30 hours – One free kids meal!
50 hours – A Cope Environmental Center pedometer – count those steps!
70 hours – One free week of CEC Summer Adventure Camp (week of your choice*) – Only 2 spots are available – work towards your goal fast!
*Some summer camps have age/grade restrictions- we will work with you to ensure you select a week that works for your age group.
