CEC Seeks Development Director
Centerville, IN (5/10/19) – Cope Environmental Center (CEC) is seeking candidates for development director. The ideal candidate is a person who is passionate about nature, the environment and sustainability and who is passionate about raising funds to support those ideals. For more information, please contact executive director Traci Lewis at email@example.com or 765-855-3188.
The development director position is open because longtime CEC employee and current development director Kaitlyn Blansett is leaving Cope to relocate and pursue other opportunities.
Blansett has been with CEC since 2012. She has held various positions, including program educator, product researcher, community outreach coordinator, and development director.
“CEC holds a special place in my heart. Although I am sad to leave, I am excited about the direction Cope is headed. This organization has a dedicated board, a hardworking staff, and an incredibly important mission to work toward.”
Cope Environmental Center is a 130-acre outdoor classroom for interactive, hands-on learning about sustainability and nature-based programming. Its Living Building demonstrates “green” building and design features, while also providing educational spaces for programs and community events. CEC was founded in 1992 as a vision of Jim and Helen Cope and Francis Parks. CEC is located just south of U.S. 40 at 1730 Airport Road, Centerville, IN.
